OpenDNA, a provider of precision medicine AI platforms to predict and treat polygenic diseases, today announced a know-how and research agreement with Mayo Clinic as part of a pilot clinical study. The collaboration will evaluate OpenDNA’s technology for early AI cardiovascular disease prediction and its potential to support precision prevention and treatment strategies.
Led by Regis I. Fernandes, MD, Consultant, Cardiovascular Diseases and Chair at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, the study will leverage OpenDNA’s advanced algorithms to analyze millions of de-identified genetic and clinical data points collected over time. The goal is to generate more accurate predictions of cardiovascular risk and enable earlier interventions.

OpenDNA’s AI platform has already been validated on a database of more than 500,000 individuals, demonstrating 85% accuracy in predicting heart attacks. By combining genetic and clinical information, the system is designed to empower cardiologists to optimize treatment decisions, improve precision, and reduce costs—while enhancing long-term care for patients.
Mayo Clinic has a financial interest in the technology referenced in this release. Any revenue it receives will be used to support its not-for-profit mission in patient care, education, and research.
