OpenDNA Secures Exclusive License to Polygenic Technology for Personalized Diabetes Treatment from Cleveland Clinic

OpenDNA has announced a new licensing agreement with Cleveland Clinic Innovations have completed an exclusive license agreement to commercialize Cleveland Clinic’s cutting-edge polygenic technology, which helps identify patients who could benefit most from intensive diabetes treatment. This collaboration builds on cutting-edge research developed at Cleveland Clinic and published in the American Diabetes Association journal Diabetes Care, which identifies individuals most likely to benefit from intensive type 2 diabetes therapy based on their genetic profile.

Through this agreement, OpenDNA will integrate Cleveland Clinic’s polygenic model into its own AI-powered genomic platform. The goal: to deliver a single, comprehensive test that not only assesses risk for cardiometabolic diseases and various cancers, but also identifies patients who are genetically more responsive to targeted diabetes interventions.
